REMEMBERING A HERO

Two years ago on this day, Zimbabwe’s founding father the late Cde Robert Gabriel Mugabe rested.

Described by many as a gallant son of the soil, the late Cde Mugabe breathed his last after fighting a good fight that saw many economically empowered through the Land Reform Programme amongst other programmes.

The revolutionary leader was known worldwide for his unwavering stance on black empowerment.

President and First Secretary of ZANU PF Cde E.D Mnangagwa when delivering the sad news of Cde Mugabe’s passing on described former President Mugabe as “an icon of liberation, a pan-Africanist who dedicated his life to the emancipation and empowerment of his people.”

Former President Cde Mugabe was born February 21, 1924 and his birthday continues to be celebrated in honour of the great work that he did.
