YOUTH MOBILISATION EFFORTS MUST BE SUPPORTED: CDE MPOFU

ZANU PF Youth Wing mobilization efforts must be robustly supported, an official has said.

Secretary for Administration in the Party Cde Obert Mpofu said this while addressing the Policy and Coordination Meeting held at the Party Headquarters this Monday morning.

He noted that the youth will be a major factor in the forthcoming election hence the need for all mobilization efforts to be supported.

Various efforts by the non-governmental organizations have seen efforts to have voter registration of many university students among others in order shift the voting patterns towards in favour of the opposition. The opposition believes that the trends seemingly being registered in the neighbouring countries can tilt the vote in favour of MDC Alliance’s Nelson Chamisa.

“Comrades, the Youth Vote will be an important factor in the forthcoming national harmonized elections in 2023. As such all mobilization efforts by the Youth Wing should be robustly supported,” Cde Mpofu said.

“As a Party we still need to convene the strategic retreat in order to strategize for the forthcoming 2023 national elections. Once His Excellency, the President and First Secretary Cde E.D Mnangagwa has finalized the date, this will be communicated to all.”

Cde Mpofu added that the Party takes “note of the current unofficially communiqué on the joining of POLAD by the MDC Alliance leader Welshman Ncube. Such a move will strengthen the resolve to have a political platform where opposition parties can interact and contribute constructively for the sustainable development of the country.”
